Hi! We’re the Zachmeyer’s. A God lead family of four. We’ve lived the homestead life for quite some, but started Little Iowa Farm after purchasing our dream, 16-acre property and accidentally starting a raw milk micro dairy. From there, we became passionate about sharing our journey as first-generation farmers. Yasmine gives you a behind-the-scenes look at gardening, canning, recipes, raising kids and daily life around the farm. 🐓🚜🐮🌾🐷

Our Homestead Vision

We are working hard to honor God with the land that we have been blessed with and utilizing it to become less reliant on worldly systems. It’s not just a meal; it’s a narrative of sustainability, ethics, and the pure joy of savoring the genuine essence of farm-to-table living. Anything we can’t grow or raise ourselves, we try to support another local farm. It’s what keeps small farms going.

We have chickens and ducks for eggs. We are raising pigs for pork. We have our herd of milk cows and their calves we raise for beef (or sell them to another small farm). In 2023, we even raised our own Thanksgiving turkeys!
