About me

Hi all, I’m Yasmine and this is my little fam! Jacob and I have been married since April of 2019, shortly after we welcomed Journee (May ’20) and Josiah (July ’22).

In November of 2021, my husband and I were blessed with the opportunity to purchase 16 acres of land in Burlington, Iowa. Growing up in the city, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I read countless Pinterest articles and watched hours of YouTube videos on how to be a homesteader… I was ready, or so I thought. 😅 Some days, we definitely wonder what we got ourselves into, but on those tough days, we lean into God for guidance.

Our goal for Spring/Summer of 2023 is to be able to sell fresh baked bread, garden fresh fruits + veggies, eggs, + more at a farm stand on our property in Southeast, IA.
