WHAT. A. YEAR. 🥳

Looking back, I honestly had no idea all that we did in 2022. We truly dove in (head first!!) into our homesteading/farming adventure.

A review of our year…

• Got our first milk cow
• Added ducks to our homestead
• Honey had her baby, Peaches 🍑
• Celebrated Journee turning 2
• Bought 16 acres
• Sold our home
• Bought a trailer (and had it moved to our property 5 days before Josiah arrived 🫠)
• Got a puppy (Koda)
• Milked the cow 9 months pregnant
• Had Josiah
• Learned to cook more from scratch
• Added pigs to our farm
• Had a hen go broody and hatch baby chicks (only for a flock to be killed by a fox 😔)
• Learned how to use electric fencing
• Made tons of butter
• Pressure canned more foods
• Planted garlic for 2023
• Added a SECOND milk cow to our farm
• Navigated milking a cow in freezing temps
• Made more of our bread from scratch
• Learned how to use a dehydrator
• Got new chicks for fresh eggs next spring
• Celebrated Christmas as a family of four

Every second was not easy or fun. There was a LOT of stress this year, but looking back, we took on and did A LOT. I am so proud of all we have accomplished this year. Thank God for guiding us along because without Him, I know we couldn’t have done all of this! 🙏🏻 I will never forget the memories that 2022 brought, but I’m hoping 2023 is a little less wild 🤪
